- Try Therma Care Heat Wraps, they are a heating pad but without the cord. All you di is wrap it around you back for all day relief. Another thing I can reccomend is accupuncture. They put nedleds in your body half way in andsome how it get's rid of the pain.
- See a Chiropractor! You probably have some pinched nerves, nobody can release the pressure like a good Chiropractor. You're smart to want to stay away from pain medication, pills only covers up the symptoms, never fixes the problem.
- Take time out during your workday to stretch your back muscles out. A good one is to simply bend over without locking your knees and let your arms and head hang, bend one knee further than the other and vice versa to get more of a stretch in your lower back. If you can find anything like a pole to hold on to.....hold on to it and keep your feet planted close to the pole, don't lock knees, and let your body fall back. This helps shoulder blades and the muscles that run on the sides of your spine. Actually, you don't even need a pole - sometimes I just hang on to my kitchen sink. Acupuncture, Massage....are an ongoing fix and can be expensive.....find a yoga cd that focuses on your back and do am and pm. They will relax your back and strenghten as well. I would definately have it checked out by a doc, though....just in case you have an injury like a slipped disc. I went to several Chiropractors over two years, they all took x-rays, but none of them caught the four slipped discs in my neck, one of which was sitting right on my spinal cord. A doctor can order an MRI which will show everything, and is more qualified to read x-rays and MRI's.
