HOW to get flat abs with having back problems such as l4-l5 disc protrusion?

- I have 2 bulging discs and one with a narrowing in my lumbar area. I suggest doing water aerobics, walking in the water, and when you are in better shape, walk on a treadmill. You may not get prefectly flat abs but they will tighten up.
- do isometric ab exercises (for example, holding pushup postion for time) rather than ones that flex your spine like crunches
