What are the best ab exercises for someone with low back problems?

- Crunches, done on the floor. Because with crunches you are only lifting the upper part of your torso while the middle and lower part of your back remains stationary on the floor, you won't be putting a significant strain on your lower back.
- There are exercise that you can do to work out your lower back. I have the same problem and it stopped ever since I did the exercise. Ask the gym staff for exercise that you can use to work out your lower back. I do the exercise once a week with 5 sets of 10-15 reps.
- I would suggest doing pilates. It teaches you to correctly strengthen your abs and whole body without injuring your back or other areas. You could look online for pilates techniques or buy a video or book. I had lower back problems and pilates helped tons!
