Would the university accept me back with a low GPA due to personal problems?
I already have 79 credits and I was dropped from my classes and I have to be re-admitted due to financial problems and death in the family, but my GPA is very low

- Unforntunately no, if your high school you have the oppurtunity to redeem yourself by attending a Community College, but universities look as past experience and your ability to jump back from that, so work hard to get where you need to go!
- It depends on the school. I would seek out an admission or guidance counselor and explain your situation in person. Be honest. You may also want to talk to a former professor for his or her assistance. I suspect that you will have several options: take classes at a local community college that will transfer to the university, or be re-admitted on a conditional basis to see if you can raise up your GPA. You might even have to take a year off and work a job and try again. Many students do not do very well their first year of school due to various reasons. Professors are aware of this. It is not easy making significant changes in your life, and unfortunately, you were given additional challenges.
