Back Pain Questions
back pain!? I've recently started getting really bad lower back pains. its hard for me to get up in the morning, get up from a sitting position, even bending over to pick up or feed the cat. Other women at work have been telling me it could be the weight in my breasts. I'm 30 years old, if it is why would it start hurting now? and why would it be my lower back not my upper. Seriously I'm 5'1 and DD cup...i've seen bigger. I don't think thats what it could be, but what do i know? If someone could give me an idea or if they could help me out on how to ease my pain it would be greatly appreciated. Serious answers please....i'm in pain. :(

What area of the back would you suffer with pain in the case of an ectopic pregnancy? My period arrived 6 days late and when it did, I had a normal flow for the first day only and then brown spotting for a week after. I have now suffered from menstrual-like cramps for 3 weeks and woke up today with bad back pain that hurts on my right side, roughly waist height. I have had urine and blood tests which came back negative. In the case of an ectopic pregnancy, would my back pain be lower? Thank you for any help you can offer!
What are some easy methods to relieve back pain? My boyfriend works from 11PM - 7AM. He complains of back pain and we've been putting Biofreeze on it and it seems to be helping for the rest of the day. Then when he comes home he says his back hurts again. He says he has a job where he does nothing but stand so it makes his back hurt and we aren't able to make a chiropractor appointment. Are there any other methods to relieve his back pain but for a longer amount of time? Its not a chronic pain but it does annoy him.

What is the best bed for back pain relief? I recently had back surgery to repair a ruptured disk in my upper back. What would cause pain when inhaling on my lower right back? Three days ago I started having sharp pain in my lower right back when inhaling. The rest of my lower back hurts as well, but does not have the sharp pains when inhaling. A friend suggested I might have pulled a muscle. I am wondering why this would cause pain when breathing, and what I can do to relieve the pain.

What can I do to ease back pain while driving? I have a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. I drive it about 80 miles round trip 2-3 times per week. After each trip, I have pain in my mid-lower back. What causes throbbing pain in the back of your head? Every once in a while i get this throbbing pain in the back of my head like someone is hitting me on the head with a hammer. It's not your typical headache, this is worse. What would this be and what causes it?
What is this new stabbing pain in the middle upper left side of my back? I have suffered from chronic back pain for three years now. I am 31, not overweight, and did not have an injury! I had disc replacement surgury on L4-5 about a year and a half ago with no success. Discography shows that the L5-S1 is not healthy and may be the cause of continued pain. In the past few months I have developed left leg pain and numbness with very bad hip pain as well. This stabbing in my left side (on the back) has just happened and is just aweful when I wake up in the morning. No position helps! Is this a muscle? I can locate it straight away with my left hand reaching back and it hurts to the touch. Any ideas?
How to ease back pain during pregnancy? I am 27 weeks pregnant... How can I relieve back pain when I am pregnant and on bed rest? Alright, so I just got rid of boils on my back and now have severe back pain because I am pregnant. I am on strict bed rest on orders of the doctor because I went into pre-term with my last child. Nothing I do helps and I am in pain no matter what I do and how I lay in bed. Any suggestions on how I can relieve the pain?
How can I get rid of my back pain in the morning, and is it a sign of a bigger problem? Recently I've been having nasty lower back pain every morning. This happened about a year ago, but only lasted a couple of weeks. I visited a doctor and he gave me a list of back exercizes to do... wich seemed to get rid of the pain. Of course shortly there after I stopped doing the exercizes. The same pain came back about a month ago... only this time it's much worse, to the point of waking me up about 4 hours after I go to bed. I've been doing back exercizes, but it seems to only be getting worse... Typically at night it's gone, but as soon as I lay down to sleep... it comes back (during the course of the night). I've tried orthodics for my shoes, and the pillow between the legs.. to no avail. The only other thing I could think of is getting a new matress to try to alleviate it. Any other suggestions?
What are my stomach pain & cramps and back pain when I swallow food symptoms of? I had ask a similar question before but I think wasn't clear enough. In the last 5 days I started to get stomach pain & cramps and sharp back pain when I swallow food. Taking a sip of water helps with the feeling like the food is getting stuck. The pain only occurs when the food is being swallow, and not after I eat. I think its getting better with time but I'm not if it go away. I think I will see a doctor soon, but someone online told me most likely all the doctor will do is schedule me for testing a another week. I really want to know what are symptoms of since none of my symtoms don't match any illness 100%.
How early did you start having back pain in your pregnancy? I'm only 7 weeks, I am overweight and it could be a contributing factor to my back pain, but I didn't start having back pain until this week. What is the best medicine to take for back pain? I don't have insurance but my lower back on the right about 3 inches out from my spine, keeps hurting. It hurts most after I have been sitting. I have been taking motrin a lot but it just seems to lower the pain but it still hurts. Anything better?
How do you ease back pain quickly and without drugs of any sort? I am a Tech. Intelligent Light Head for my theatre and because of that, I have to sit on a metal stool for about 4 hours straight. I can't switch to a chair because then I cannot see over my monitor to see my lights and moving the machines are not options. Sitting in this position really takes a number on my back and shoulders. Does anyone have a technique for easing the pain?
What should I do if I have unexplainable upper back and chest pain? For a week I've been having this horrible pain in my chest everytime I swallow. For 3 days the pain went to my back. So now I have both upper back and chest pain, everytime I swallow. I went to my doctor 3 times and to the Emergency Room once, but they have no solution. I tried Motrin, Mylanta, Advil, and Ibuprofen. Yet, no medicine works. Is there anything I can try or do to relieve this pain? I have not been able to eat or even drink a simple thing like water without pain.
What do you do for your chronic back pain to cope day to day? Have lots of back problems. I have 6 hernieted discs(that I know, we have never done an MRI of the thoracic spine). I had a fusion in my neck and I also have a hemangioma on one of my vertebrae that is causing pain. The back pain causes arm and leg pain, my right leg goes numb all the time and then my left leg picks up the slack, making my knee hurt. I am 28 and have been dealing with the worst of this for 3 years. I know this will be a life long battle. All of those that have had chronic pain for many more years then me, what have you done and what are you with pain control efforts? What kind of road am I heading down I guess is what I want to know? Just so everyone knows, I do work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week at a hospital, so I am pretty much on the run during those times. I have 3 children. The 2 oldest are in school and walk them to the bus stop. I clean my house, do yard work, walk the dogs, Everything that everyone else does. I am not just sitting on a couch crying all day. I have been working on losing my many extra pounds and have lost about 30 pounds and instead of the pain getting better with less weight, it is getting worse. So, basically, I just want to know where everyone has been in a journey like mine.
What is this pain in my lower stomach, left abdomen and lower back? I did not strain it. I do not have to use the bathroom. I am not on my period for another week and a half. It is a dull constant pain, sometimes a bit strong enough for me to hold my breath. The pain is on my left side abdomen, lower stomach, in my left pelvic area and mid to lower back all on the left side.
What is the best way to get rid of back pain associated with pregnancy? I am 31 weeks into my 40 week pregnancy (over 7 months) and work in an office setting where I sit all day. I make sure to get up every 90 minutes or so to stretch and walk around, but I am getting tremendous back pain the longer I sit, at the lower of my back. I think the baby has dropped (turned over so it's head is at the bottom)... Is there pain reliever, special chair cushions, or anything else that is safe for me to relieve the pain? Thanks!
What else can I do to get rid of chronic back pain? I'm more or less at my wits end. Every doctor I go to tells me that the xrays and MRI are showing nothing wrong with me and that I need to exercise. I'm 22 years old, I shouldn't be having chronic back pain that has no apparent cause. And at very least if it were a muscle strain I'd figure that 8 months would have been plenty of time for it to heal. I'm not in that bad of shape, I walk 2 or 3 miles a day. I have more or less written off medication as a simple mask of the problem. The problem to me isn't the pain, it's whatever is causing the pain. In a way I'd rather deal with the pain until the real problem is identified and gotten rid of so it can serve as a reminder. I'm not sure my exercising is helping any and for some reason my doctors seem to think I'm making it up or they just want to perscribe me more pain killers. Is there anything else I can do on my own to combat back pain?
What is the cause of a sudden sharp lower back pain? My husband had a sudden pain in his lower back. After a few minutes of activity he could not move because the pain was so bad. He is now laying in bed and can barely move due to the pain. Due to insurance he cannot get to a doctor until morning. Does any one know what the cause of this could be and anything to alleviate his pain til he gets to the doctor?
What would cause pain in the front right chest muscle, shoot down back of arm, top of forearm to fingers? The front chest muscle often goes in to spasms. The pain is getting worse and unbearable. The pain has traveled from back of muscle just above elbow down to top of forearmrm midway. There is something that feels like a wire(tendon ?) from elbow to wrist that is tight on the underside of the forearm. There is also a muscle in the back that is really notted up and runs from the spine about mid back up and under the shoulder blade.
What is the best sleeping position when you have lower back pain? Hello, there. You know how sometimes all the pain from the day collects when you tuck in bed ready to sleep. Sometimes, I have lower back pain as I lay in bed. What is the best position to sleep? Should i sleep on my back with my back straight? Should I sleep on my side? Or should I sleep on the tummy? Thanks a lot!
What should I do for lower back pain problems? I have intense pain in my lower back that I have gone to a Chiropractor for, but it isn't helping. Lately when I do sit ups a sharp pain accures when I hit a certain angle. I need a non surgical approach because I want to go into the marine corp. Would stretching and excercise do the trick by building up my back muscles? Or is it my spine?
How should I choose a proper chair to reduce lower back pain? I've had lower back pain for a few years, but it's gotten pretty bad over the last few months. I'm pretty sure it's because of my chair at my desk, because the pain suddenly gets 5 times worse when I sit down in my chair for a few minutes. I've already bought a few new chairs, but none of them solved the problem. (Even though they felt pretty comfy at the store.) What should I do?
What can I do to reduce back pain at work? I was in a car accident 3 year ago and my back was injured. I had 4 months of physical therapy and started taking jobs that I could sit all day. I have alot of pain when I have to stand for long periods of time. I'm starting a new job tomorrow that will require me to stand for 8 hours a day and I need some ideas to help reduce back pain. Are there any braces I can get? Should I try to get on painkillers? Any input would help. Thanks in advance.
What remedy or weird thing do you do to alleviate back pain? My back is sore everyday and stiff. Right now my biggest complain is this spot in between my shoulder blades below my neck on the right side of where that hump thing is. It feels horrible. My other complaint is that the muscles around my ribs seem sore and stuff. Like as if my muscles are hardening or something. Sometimes at night when I start to get settled into bed my back will start cracking by itself, that's the only time I get relief. I've tried everything from hanging my head off my bed, neck rolls, stretches, massagers. Can someone tell me any home remedies or weird or natural things they do to alleviate strange back pain? Thanks so much!
What sickness is associated with dizziness and back of the neck pain? I have been feeling this pressure at the back of my neck lately that usually never goes away unless I drink a pain reliever. Im also feeling dizziness at times. I will see my doctor in a couple of days about this condition, but I would like to hear your opinion first. Is there anyone that could help me figure this out. Thanks!
