I sleep on my side, and recently ive been getting pains in my back, and i need to flip sides to get 45 seconds of relief before the other side hurts. it feels like bone pain, mainly a little below the shoulder blade, and i cant tell if its a rib or my backbone. What problems with the human body can be traced back to evolution? I have heard that back problems can be attributed to our bodies not fully being adapted to walking upright. Are there any more? Vollygirl the fact that walking upright cause less back problems than walking hunched over does not prove we are fully adapted to walking upright. If we were back problems would only happen due to injuries or over exertion.
How do you treat lower back problems? I've been having lower back problems lately. I went to see a RN and she told me to take ibuprofen 3 times a day and she gave me some lower back exercises to do. Now my back problems are back. This may sound weird, but when I sneeze I trigger a muscle spasm by my lower back. That crap hurts. I don't know if its a pinch nerve or what. Does anyone know anyone with this problem or how to treat it?

Can moderate lower back problems/pain be a cause of diarrhea? Almost every morning, I have moderate diarrhea problems accompanied by or maybe because of moderate lower back pain. What should I do for lower back pain problems? I have intense pain in my lower back that I have gone to a Chiropractor for, but it isn't helping. Lately when I do sit ups a sharp pain accures when I hit a certain angle. I need a non surgical approach because I want to go into the marine corp. House is 4 years old but has problems - too late to go back to the builder? Our house is only 4 years old. It came with a 1 year warranty but we are starting to notice many problems. Cracks are appearing in walls, nails hidden my spackle are popping out and when roofing shingles came off the house, a roofer said the shingles were not properly nailed. It is too late to go back to the builder and ask them to resolve this? I know people will say to get an attorney but that is just more money. You would expect some kind of assumed warranty when it comes to a brand new house.
has anyone had any problems with your periods retuning back to normal? I have been on the pill and have been skipping the last 7 pills in each pack to avoid having a period every month. I have heard that this is completely safe to do, and that there is NO medical reason that a women needs to have a period every month, but i am worried about it retuning back to normal once i stop taking the pill and try for another baby in the next 6-8 months. Has anyone experienced any problems in doing this? Thanks for your advice !
Will my dog have back problems like a doxie? He's a little muttley mix I've been told by some pseudo-experts is majority dachshund. Wikipedia says dachshunds have back problems because they have long spinal column and small ribcages, I can't see to find any standard doxie measurments for these areas though. My dog is 18 inches long- neck to base of tail and his rib cage is 20 inches at the fullest part. He is 15 inches tall. Does he count as having a long spinal column and small ribcage? My vet says he looks mostly beagle (2 beagle experts have told me no way- and I've been told vets aren't good at breed ID anyway). I asked if he should be careful jumping in case he's part doxie and I was kinda laughed at. My vet thinks I am a worry wart :) Thanks for any help or people who have doxies and post measurements :) Wow I finally found some sort of measurement online- a standard doxie's chest should only be 35cm or 14inches. My dog's is WAY bigger- that probably helps him support his length right?
Any nurses out there actively working with back problems? I had a spinal fusion 6 months ago to fix an unstable low back (Spinal Stenosis). I had horrible pains down my legs due to the Sciatic nerve being pinched and I could barely walk. The nerve is free now and I have no pain going down my leg anymore. However, I do still have a lot of back pain in my low back. I'm wondering if I can continue to do nursing. The constant bending is aggravating my back pain so bad I have to take pain meds to keep going. How do you cope with this problem? Any real help would be appreciated. Thanks. I now have a titanium cage with side rods in my low back screwed into three vertebrae. My low back is fixed because of all the metal in it. I can't in anyway bend where the cage is implanted.

What is a good exercise program for back problems? I injured my back leaving me with multiple herniated discs. I used to do Karate and am no longer able to do it. I feel so inactive now. I was thinking about Yoga or Pilates but I haven't done them before so I don't know if they put any stress on the back or neck. I want to do something that is somewhat strenous instead of just stretching. Any suggestions??
