lower back pain, herinated disc and urinary problems? I have major lower back problems with heriniated discs..could this pain be a result of me not being able to urinate properly. i have had to have a cather put in this week and possiby another one in am...this will be my 3rd time...I am in alot of back pain and kidney pain as well as other orgains..any suggestions

I have been thinking about trying Marijuana but its illegal here and its expensive too and if I use that I could be called into a job interview at any time, I dont know what to do, so, what would you do?

back pain - disc problems? I have just returned from seeing a neurosurgeon about persistent back pain, floowing an MRI scan he has told me that surgery is not an option as they would need to remove 3 disc and he says the back could not cope with this (they are all in the lumber and the 3 are next to each other). Should I sek a second opinion. At 31 yrs old, its hard to accept that i will have to live with this terrible pain forever. He has referred me to the chronic pain clinic - anyone know what methods they might use? I do work as a regional catering manager, so driving is a big part of my role. What is Triplay, i can seem to find it on the net

Back problems due to herneated disc ...? I had surgery to shave my l5 disc back in 2006.... things were great till about October last year , the disc was hernated again, revealed through a MRI . My Neo . decided I do PT AND EPIRERMAL SHOTS my last series of 3 shots was in FEB 7TH 2008, how ever the back pains returned like 2 weeks ago , Last wed. i was in so much pain i could not sit,stand ,walk or lay down , my doctor ordered another MRI but this time with contrast , got the results I have scar tissue which has grown over the L5 and L1 nerve which is causing numbness in my right tigh and crouch area , he suggested I do 2 shots instead of operate to remove, if the shots dosen't work well the last resort is surgery . My question is will the shots shrink the scar tissue or will it camoflage the pain , what do you suggest I do ?
i have had an ongoing back problem since last October perforated disc and problems with disc either side? of affected disc. i have received help from my doctor and the dorset orthopedic service (osteopathy so far) and they have been great. my problem is i was first on cocodomol and after a few months it did not get the pain so they put me on oramorph, now this seems to be losing its affectiveness as well. the docs service are now suggesting a epidural but i had a bad experience a few years ago and i am a bit wary. to top it off my pain barrier is now non existent. i want to go back to work but cant is there other meds that may work?
If a person has lower back herniated disc problems and pain in the thigh and calf at what point? is it best to get the back fixed by a specialist. I mean, will the blood flow be cut off to the leg at some point, and is the pain in the leg a blood clot or what? everyone had superb answers. Thank you. the herniated disc thing seems to be a popular problem. I have a cousin who just went thru a tortuous back operation and aftermath of 18 months. I have a female cousin who has had 3 back operations and warns me of numbness in the leg and that she's lost her driving privileges because of it. I met a maintenance man here at the apartments who successfully had a back operation to relieve pressure on the nerve and his was successful and no pain afterward. I knew of a boss years ago who was playing tennis and ended up having to have a back operation, he seemed ok afterward, never mentioned pain. I also knew of a neighbor who continued to insist that I get the back operation because she said hers was successful and without pain afterwards. I used to have a chiropractor but he said he will no longer see me because it's an injury and nothing further he can do. When i was his patient he told me to exercise if I could, but "no" massage. I heard the CT scan was better than the MRI with regard to back problems. Am I wrong?
What is the treatment for bone fragments in lower back with herniated disc and spondelonestheysis? I have 1mm bone fragments in my back and a herniated disc with spondelonestheysis (dont know how to spell) Physical Therapy does not seem to work I meet with my orthopedic surgeon in one week does anyone know what the next step will be? Im scared it might be surgery (I have had these back problems for 10 years)

I have had back problems ,Six Buldging Disc,two herniated.Been getting shots. Stop because of staff infection.? I am getting leg pain that travels from my grion to my thigh.Realy hurts bad.Can hardly lift my leg without servere pain.Also rubbing it causes server pain. Went to see a doctor,They were very concern. They set me up for sonogram to see if I had a blood clot,but suspect it was my sciatica nerve. They found no blood clot. He gave me a shot and perscribe me Prednesone for swelling of a disc,and pain pills. my leg feels a little better. Felt some numbness in my right leg. When I set on the floor for awhile,feel pain in both legs. Feels like they go stiff and the pain is servere.
Could my lower back problems have anything to do with my digestive system? Okay, gross qts. I have disc dis-generation diesease and problems with dics 4 and 5 in my lower back. Back Problems...I have a herniated disc diagnosed 2004. I was working this december and was injured.? I went to the doc and she wrote me a Rx for flexril and 800 ibprofuen and pulled me outta work for 5 days for muscle spasms. 2 days later the symptoms got worse, even more severe pain, feeling like i am walking on pins and needles, my arms go numb and tingling off and on. So I called the dr and she put me on tordol and flexril. By that monday i was still no better with still extreme pain. So she did another exam and when she pressed on my lower back my whole body went numb and then when the feeling came bac i had blinding pain. She then took me outta work indeffinately, put me on darvocet and scheduled a MRI. I have a herniated disc to the point of rupture (L5 S1) and have been referred to a neurosurgeon. can neone help me comprehend if i need surgery? what is causing such severe pain?
I have had problems with a disc in my back giving me sciatica. ? but now i have pain only when i am walking a 100m i feel a build up of tension in my back and the front of my leg to the front and back of my ankle. If i take a break I am ok again to go again. does anyone relate to this But mainly the pain is in the front of the leg/foot. I had an MRI and am awaiting reply.
Treatment for disc problems and reversal of cervical lordosis.? Since I was a teen (I'm now 27), I've had unexplained back and neck pain, headaches, muscle tension, and spasms. About a year and a half ago, the doctors figured it out after an MRI. They said I had varying degrees of damage (none really serious, but all problematic) in four cervical discs with moderate reversal of cervical lordosis. It seems that the problem is congenital because my mother and both sisters have it to varying degrees. Physical therapy did not help significantly and was way too expensive for me to be able to do it long term. What are my options for the reversal of lordosis? I know that the discs can improve with physio, postural training, exercise, chiropractic, and other treatments, but I suspect that orthotics or surgery may be the only hope for the curvature problem. I ask that only medical professionals and those with direct experience with this problem respond.

I am having a problems downloading a game from a new disc.? I bought a new Blackhawk Down game. Game is a Novalogic game. When I try to download it I get an error that says problems transferring files and it stops loading where do I look for the problem? Disc is in very very good shape. It is in my computer somewhere. I have back problems and i cant find a doctor to give me prescriptions for pain killers? I am 26 and have had back problems for 5 years and have been to several drs but all of the drs i have been to either say i am to young to be on pain kilers or they think that im there just to get drugs for recreational use. I have had several MRI's and they say "oh its just a bulging disc everyone has those" But mine causes severe pain and causes my legs to go numb. And i dont have have a low tolerance to pain either. I can tolerate alot of pain normally but this is just excruciating sometimes. Does anyone have any suggestions?
how do i fix my freezing and disc reading problems on my ps3? whenever i hit the PS button it will freeze and nothing will load. and when i want to play a game i cant just turn on the console. i have to turn it on, take the disc out, then put it back in. and some of my games wont get past the "press start" page or the loading page. help?? please?????

What is Army policy on back problems? Will i be discharged? I recently joined the army national guard and just the other week i reinjured my back from an old high school sports injury. I have been diagnosed with chronic spondylolysis and my doctor also suspects a problem with the discs in the surrouding vertebrae of the affected area. does anyone have any knolwedge in this area as far as how it will affect me and my future in the military?
Can a cervical herniated disc cause permanent problems? I am scheduled for a disc replacement on August 19th but I am not having a lot of chest pain. I have read that this is common with cervical herniations but I was just wondering if I should call my doctor and let him know of this new symptom, go to the er, or just wait for surgery? my hernation is at C6-C7 and is large according to my MRI. Can a ruptured disc pressing on a nerve cause BM problems? I have a ruptured disc L5 pressing on my satica nerve. Would this be the cause of sever abdominal pain prior to a bowel movement happening? At first the BM is normal, then as the hour of pain progress the BM gets softer and softer and then like water. Gross I know but I cannot find anything on the net myself. And Yes to those of you who say call your doctor, I already have an appointment set for next week. Chances are it is IBS but I am just asking if the ruptured disc could be the problem. For any of you that have had a hysterectomy, the pain feels alot like what we had when we first got home from the hospital and were going to the bathroom.
Back Problems? I found out I have a disc problem (degenerative disc disease) in my back My doctor at the pain clinic said there is nothing they can do for me....no injection will help. He explained there is no known treatment at this time but he would call if they hear of something. I used to run almost everyday and now that is impossible...too painful...I want my life back!!

My neighbor just called an asked me if I could find a home for her dog, dog has a disc problem in her back? the vet said she needs to stay away from loud noises and children. she has a dashund about 4 or 5 years old. They said also no other animals and she may need surgery someday but not yet. Any suggestions, she wanted me to search online for her. daschund rescue contacted her and told her to keep her dog in a crate for 1 month, give prednisone and green beans in the morning and at night to help fill her appetite from the prednisone. I was wondering if anybody knows about a facility for back problems, where one can stay and receive treatment? I am tired of recieving steroid injections, im looking for a way to control or cure the pain in my back, L4, L5 disk problems. But latley it seems my hips are hurting instaed of my back, im not sure if that is pain radiating. In the morning my back is stiff and it hurts, i can sleep only 4 to 6 hours and than wake up in pain. I also take Oxicodone 7.5 and would like to know if anyone can recomand a better solution to controling pain.
Anyone have experience with disc problems? My husband coughed about 3 weeks ago and has been in pain ever since. An x-ray showed what they think is a degenerated disc (MD wasn't sure without an MRI). Nothing helps the pain. He's tried many prescriptions with no relief; vicodin, tramadol, a steroid pack and muscle relaxers (not all at once). Cold packs and heat don't help either. Tomorrow he goes for an MRI and then hopefully some epidural injections. In the mean time what can I do to help him get some sleep tonight? Lying down hurts, the lazy boy chair hurts, the couch hurts, etc. ANyone have any ideas how to relieve the pain without drugs? Tried to give him a gentle massage, he won't let me touch his back it hurts like hell he says. If you put pressure in a certain spot it sends tingles all down his leg to his foot.

Has anyone else had any problems with the first disc of the L word not playing? Just bought season 5 L word today and have found the the first disc won't play on my LG DVD player (well it plays the copyright stuff but pauses then stops before it gets to the menu), but all the other discs will play. I even took the DVD back to the store and got a replacement but I am still having the same problem. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Disc seems to work on an el cheepo DVD player.
back problems? I was told by my Dr I have Facet Syndrome, Severe S.I. Joint Syndrome and Degenerative Disk Disease and have bone spurs in my neck or back. What do my back problems mean? I had an MRI and the results came back that I have a moderate sized disc herniation at L4-5. There is a deformity of the thecal sac. There is facet arthrosis bilaterally. And there is retrolisthesis. What does all of this mean? And what am I going to have to do to fix it?

Anyone had inflammatory cervical disc problems? What were your symptoms and how was it treated? Did the treatment work? I'm having chronic inflammatory pain in throat and neck and just told I have arthritis in the front my cervical spine near the vocal chords. My ENT says GERDs may aggravate it and cause it to swell but it worsens after the slightest cold virus. It's debilitating and it's scaring me. My PC couldn't figure it out so he just told me it's autoimmune. Offered no treatment. I'm looking for real experience for this, not links. Thanks.

playstation 3 problems i put the disc in nothing appears? I have a PlayStation 3 and When i turned it on yesterday everything was normal. I put in the disc and waited but nothing happened. literally nothing. The blue light is on which means it knows the disc is in there but no other reaction is given. There is no loading or anything. Playstation 1 Gameshark lite disc problem and with game? I have been having a problem with using the Gameshark lite disc. I input the game below on it, and the cheats to save to memory card with nothing else saved on it. I try using it for 007 The World Is Not Enough, and sometimes it would freeze up the game, or if I only activated the Invincible cheat, it would let me play and not freeze up, but then it wouldn't let me past the Courier (1st) level. I really can't figure it out.
Many people are having problems with the GTA IV disc. Do you think RockStar will solve this problem? My GTA IV disc started to be unreadable after 5 hours of playing it. Every time I insert the disc, it loads the pictures and then a message appears on the screen saying, "Unable to read disc." Wii Disc Problems? When i insert a wii disc, it successfully takes the disc in, but after about 3 seconds it comes out, but by itself it sucks it back in, then another 3 seconds it spits in out completely so it rolls on the floor. How do i fix this problem?! Please help.
Have you expierenced lower back pain related to disc problem or osteoarthristis/ arthritis? I have been having severe lower back pain. To keep it short I have went to the Doctor about it and she stated she thinks it could be a problem with the disc in my lower back. I have an MRI scheduled for Friday. I have been researching causes of lower back pain and I am now questioning a disc problem. The pain is located in the very lower part of my back. It is worse when I wake up-- can be very severe, like level 10. My back feels very stiff and there are times when I make a move that I will feel like a shock. If I am active and move about during the day the pain is still there, but not as severe. Then in the evening if I am watching TV, or sitting still, it will come back again at full force. Everything I have read states that if it is a disc problem it will hurt more with activity, which is opposite of mine. If I am sitting still and not moving my back, that is when it really starts to hurt and stiffen up. Have you had any experience with either disc or arthritis? Thanks!
Why am I having problems burning videos to a DVD disc? I have no problem converting files to DVD format....I burn the video to the disc with Nero 7...Nero says it burned to video and when I check the disc. It has nothing on it...I have a DVD+/- burner and I'm using TDK DVD-R DISC 4X. What am I doing wrong. If you have a better more reliable way of burning videos to DVD disc. I'm open for suggestions.
Sims 2 Deluxe Disc Problems? I just bought the Sims 2 Deluxe and the first day it worked great. I installed it and it played beautifully and everything. Then I saved the game and shut it down and turned my computer off for the night. Then when I turned my computer back on the next day and tried to play it it wouldn't recognize the disc. I checked everything and it looked ok. So I tried again and it still didn't work.It doesn't say anything it justs acts like there i no disc in the drive. But it doe work if I uninstall the game and reinstall it. But now it takes like 10-15 times to read that. I was wondering if there was a patch for this or if anyone else had this problem.
